Thanks to the Islamic Culture Research Foundation, the ESRA International Fund and the Sadra publishing house, Russian readers have got an opportunity to familiarize themselves with “The Wisdom of Worshipping God” written by Abdollah Jawadi Amoli.

The book consists of a number of interrelated talks regarding the most important subjects for a Muslim believer, such as praying, dhikr (remembrance of Allah), fasting, purification of body and soul, intention, action, recitation of the Qur’an and others. Many ideas are presented in the context of their diverse meanings: the preacher is going from purely practical, materialistic dimension to abstract and symbolic meanings.

However, this book is intended not only for Muslims. It makes people think about their place in the world and their mission, about what and who they worship and what or who they rely on.
