Abstract

This tafseer (“exegesis”) is one of the few works devoted to interpreting different events from the history of Islam, as well as to revealing the profound meaning in the artful words of imam Ali, explaining specific features of his style and analysing the structure of his manuscript. Apart from comments for the “Nahj al-Balagha” (Peak of Eloquence), the work also contains additional material: lists of books about “Nahj al-Balagha” written by other authors, a glossary of the words and expressions used by the Imam, and other documents and evidence of his statements’ authenticity.

The book is meant for a wide range of readers interested in Islamic culture.
