“Book is a path to cooperation and progress” exhibition takes place in Ashgabat

11th International book fair called “Book is a path to cooperation and progress” came to its end in Ashgabat. It took place on 21-23 September 2016 in the Exhibition Centre of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. About 40 Russian organizations involved in publishing, printing and book distribution participated in the event.

This is the biggest exhibition in the Central Asia, which has gained a reputation of a modern platform for discussing issues related to book industry and for expert meetings. The Russian Federation is a regular participant of this event. One of the publishing houses representing Russia was the Sadra publishing house, which took part in the book fair with the support of the Islamic Culture Research Foundation.

The National stand of Russia at the Ashgabat forum was organized by the Federal Press and Mass Communications Agency and the Book Publishers Association of Russia.

In cooperation with the Islamic Culture Research Foundation the Sadra publishing house presented academic, social, Islamic and fiction books, as well as such novelties like “Persia: the history of undiscovered land” by A.B. Gromov and S.N. Tabai, “The last Salar” by M.K. Mazinani, “Treatise on calligraphers and artists” by Kazi Ahmad b. Husain Al-Husaini Kumi and others.

The Ashgabat exhibition was finalized with an award ceremony, where participating publishing houses received certificates and medals.
