On February 21, 2020, a meeting with the calligrapher and musician Bahman Panahi was held at the Center for Oriental Literature of the RSL with the support of the Ibn Sina Foundation.

The calligrapher delivered a lecture on the connection between Iranian music and calligraphy  and conducted a workshop, where the guests of the meeting were able to see how two calligraphic drawings were made step by step.

Apart from Bahman Panahi, Marina Melanyina (head of the Center for Oriental Literature of the Russian State Library), Seyed Nasser Tabai (vice president of the Ibn Sina Foundation  general director of the Sadra publishing house), and Mr. Mohakek (Councellor for Cultural and Scientific Affairs of the Iranian Embassy) also delivered speeches.

An exhibition of books published by the Sadra Publishing House was held in the entrance hall of the library.
