On September 24, 2020, the Ibn Sina Foundation took part in the 13th International academic and research conference — "Galimjan Barudi Readings". The event was dedicated to diverse approaches to the interpretation of Sunnah in Islamic theology.
Andrey Lukashev, research director of the Ibn Sina Foundation, delivered a presentation on the Foundation's activities. He noted that the lack of Islamic knowledge and Islamic culture was one of the main problems of the Russian-speaking ummah and Russian society in general. The Ibn Sina Foundation seeks to contribute to finding the solution, namely by publishing academic literature on Islamic matters. The Foundation cooperates with leading academic centres, participates in academic conferences, workshops and exhibitions, offers educational videos and develops online educational programmes.
The event was attended by various experts in religious studies and hadiths, who represented the traditions of Islamic scholarship and academic Islamic studies, as well as religious figures and professional translators of theological literature.
The Ibn Sina Foundation and the Sadra publishing house presented their books in the conference hall of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque.
