This is the third volume in the series devoted to the views of the most prominent Islamic thinkers on upbringing and education. While the first volume discusses the pedagogical methods of Ibn Miskawayh, Zarnuji, Suhrawardi, Khoja Tusi, and Mawlawi, the second one describes those of al-Jahiz, Ibn Sahnun, al-Farabi, Kabisi, and Ibn Sina, and the third volume is entirely dedicated to the pedagogical views of the great medieval thinker Abu Hamid Muhammad al-Ghazali. His extensive philosophical legacy may be useful in developing an Islamic pedagogical system and may also serve as a starting point for studying the history of Islamic thought and civilization.
