The 13th volume of the series "Philosophical Thought of the Islamic World: Research" has been published with the assistance of the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Ibn Sina Foundation. It is a monograph by Tatiana Korneyeva dedicated to the life and work of Nasir Khusraw, an outstanding Ismaili philosopher of the Fatimid period.
The work presents the philosopher's views, analyses the interconnection of different aspects of his teachings, reveals fundamental categorical oppositions which manifest themselves at different levels of his philosophical "tree", and demonstrates the role of the "tawil" method. The author pays particular attention to the philosophical terminology of Nasir Khusraw, who wrote his works in Persian. The appendix contains a translation of one of Nasir Khusraw's main treatises, "Knowledge and Liberation" (Gushayish va Rahayish). The work also provides a glossary of his Persian philosophical vocabulary.
