On May 20, a cultural and educational event dedicated to the Persian Language Day took place in Nizhny Novgorod as part of the "Museum Night" campaign. It was organized by the regional public organization "Congress of the Iranian-speaking Peoples", Research and Educational Center for Oriental Studies of the Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University and the Centralized Library System of the Kanavinsky District with the support of the Ibn Sina Foundation and the Sadra publishing house.

The program of the event included speeches of invited guests, a presentation devoted to the Iranian epic poem “Shahnameh”, a lecture on the role of "Shahnameh" in the history of cultural relations between the Russian and Iranian peoples, the introduction to “Shahnameh”in Persian, and a workshop in Persian.

At the end of the event, the Ibn Sina Foundation donated books from the Shahnameh and Shekarestan series, as well as a collection of Saadi Shirazi's proverbs “A visit to the Padishah” to the libraries of Nizhniy Novgorod.
