The two-volume book “Healing. Theology” by Ibn Sina (Avicenna, about 980-1037) has been translated from Arabic and published with the commentaries and the afterword of Tawfiq Ibrahim, the doctor of philosophy, the professor and the main researcher of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

This is the first time when the full translation of the chapter on metaphysical theology from the encyclopedia “Healing” by Ibn Sina, the main philosopher of the classical Islam and the most influential thinkers in history, has been published in Russian.

The first volume includes the translation of the work “Theology” with commentaries. The second volume consists of three appendixes: the translation of the part “Psychology”, the compendium of the relevant parts on logics and natural philosophy and the research essay on Avicenna’s version of metaphysics. The translation of the part “Psychology” and 1-2 parts of the Compendium are prepared in co-authorship with the candidate of philosophical sciences, the senior researcher of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences N.V. Efremova.

The two-volume work “Healing. Theology” is published with the help of Ibn Sina Foundation and the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
