The 4th edition of a popular Persian language textbook by V.B. Ivanov has been published by “Sadra” Publishing House with the assistance of Ibn Sina Foundation and the Institute of Asian and African Countries of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University. Vladimir Borisovich Ivanov is the head of the department of Iranian philology of the Institute of Asian and African Countries of of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University.

The textbook consists of theoretical materials; each text is provided by vocabulary, commentaries and exercises. Iranian textbooks for primary and high schools, as well as Iranian textbooks for foreigners and the textbooks on close languages, were used while collecting the textbook by Mr. Ivanov. A special feature of the textbook is referring to the contemporary Persian spelling, the modern handwriting “tahriri” and the international Latin transcription.

The book is addressed to philology university students specializing in Oriental and African studies.

The textbook is republished in a new book cover with the same content as previously.
